Your entry needs to be as bright and eye catching as possible with a summer fete/show design. All forms of artwork are accepted from drawings to digital. The winning entry will be printed on the front of this year’s programme and be seen by thousands of residents in the area. There will be a special prize for the best entry. 

Tell your school, nursery or youth group all about the competition and get them to enter.  Good luck.

How to enter

· Anyone aged 13 or under (by closing date) can enter the competition.

· Entries to be digital or hand drawn on A5 portrait white background/paper and have no words or letters. 

· Your illustration MUST be completely original! Please do not use any photos or images found online.

· Put your name, age, address and telephone number/email address on the entry.

· Hand drawn pictures can either be posted and/or scanned and digital pictures need to be saved as a PDF and emailed.

The Bedhampton Summer Show 2019 will soon be with us. This years show will take place on Saturday 6th July on Bidbury Mead from 2pm until 5pm


This ever-popular annual Show is the largest free event in the Havant calendar.

After a Teddy Bear’s Picnic at 1.00pm, the Mayor of Havant will open proceedings at 2.00pm. 

Main Arena events will include the Children’s Fancy Dress Competition, Martlet Morris Dancers, the Homested Dog Agility team, novelty races and family Tug-of-War. 

Surrounding the arena will be a Circus Skills  big top and  the full range of stalls (toys, books, plants, bottles, produce, fashion accessories, cakes, sweets, household, bric-a-brac, drinks, burgers), displays and sideshows, children’s cart ride, bouncy castle, face painting, treasure island, spinner and Grand Raffle. There will be a refreshment area where the Portsmouth City Band will provide the musical entertainment.

The Show is supported by many local businesses and proceeds go towards the charity work of the St Thomas and St Nicholas Church. The 2018 show raised £3000 for this cause.

Free  Car Parking  is available in the Donkey Field to the south of Bidbury Mead.

Mark the date in your diary and come along for a great day out.

Be Prepared



 Can  you as an individual or company or local group help raise funds or sponsorship for the show. We are keen to hear the outcome and will follow up where appropriate.


There will

There will be plenty of entertainment for all ages. You can a pick up a bargain or win prizes at the stalls then join the fun in the arena with the fancy dress, races and family tug-of war. 

A Grand Raffle will be held and winnners announced at 4.45pm.



As  in previous years, the community have excelled themselves  with their kind donations. At the beginning of June, we will be placing  boxes in the foyer of St Nicks Church. We need Bottles  (for the Bottle Stall) Books, toys, Bric-a-brac, Household goods,  jewellery, and accessories. Earlier donations can be collected as and  where necessary.



Our aim is to provide a show for everyone. The show committee welcomes your ideas  for stalls,arena events and entertainment. If  you have any suggestions please let us know.



   We are always looking for volunteers. We need help setting up the show in the morning or taking down after 5 pm. Would you like to help on a stall? All help will be greatly appreciated.
